Communicating scientific research through narrative.

Greta Shum is a High Meadows Fellow at Climate Central, where she focuses on the relationship between science and multimedia journalism, working on a variety of projects to communicate the causes and impacts of climate change. Prior to joining Climate Central, she worked as a research fellow at the Center for Space and Habitability at the University of Bern. She holds a B.A. from Princeton University, where she studied Comparative Literature and Astrobiology.

As part of the SOCCOM team, Greta will spearhead the social media strategy and produce multimedia content to illustrate the different research questions within the scientific teams’ work and their global importance. Greta will also collaborate with local science teachers to build an educational platform, bringing the remote Southern Ocean closer to home.
